Why is the book of "James" called "James" and not "Jacob"?   In the 17th century, there was an evil and homosexual king in England.  His name was James. He wanted to win people's hearts because he was a very bad person.  But people hated him.  So, he thought of translating the Bible into English to win their hearts.  He told the translators that he wanted to give his name  to one of the Bible character.  The translators thought the best Bible Character to give the king's name was Judas Iscariot. But they were afraid that the king would kill them, if he heard this.  They did not want to give the King’s name to the good Bible Character.  Therefore, they thought of naming the king after Jacob.  They thought that the king would realize that “Jacob”  means Heel holder/supplanter.
