Every class is like a new night of encounter with God—a new opportunity to develop spiritual habits rooted in power and authority. You see, knowledge is power. When you possess knowledge, you possess power. That is why the Lord has gathered us here: to educate us in the knowledge of who He is, so that we may carry His power and authority within our spirits. In times past, many of us have lived powerless lives—unable to overcome sin, unable to fully reveal the life of Christ in us. But true spiritual power gives us victory over sin and enables us to visibly demonstrate the Spirit of Christ. Christianity was never meant to be hidden. In the days of the apostles, people did not call themselves Christians simply by confession; others saw the power of God at work in them and said, “These are people who have been with Jesus.” That is how the name “Christian” came about. And this is what the Lord is restoring in our generation: power and authority in His people. It is a wonderful thing that G...

The New Man in Christ The Journey of Growth As this class continues, some people move forward while others stop along the way. Think back to when you first entered school: not everyone who started with you finished with you. In the same way, not everyone who begins this spiritual journey continues faithfully. But for those who persevere, growth happens. Transformation happens. The journey continues. This walk with God is a process. A good example is pregnancy. When a woman becomes pregnant, people celebrate the news, but pregnancy is only the beginning. There is a journey that follows — care, discipline, nourishment, and endurance are required to carry the child successfully until delivery. In the same way, receiving spiritual truth is only the beginning. What matters is how you nurture it, grow in it, and bring it to maturity. Understanding the True Meaning of Seed We also spoke about the principle of the seed. In many places, people think of seed only as money — “sow a seed for this”...

Bible Study: The Word, the Cross, and the Life of Dominion Introduction From the very beginning, man was created by the Word of God and sustained by the Word of God. The purpose of God for mankind has always been that man would live in His image and likeness—walking in righteousness, holiness, dominion, and fellowship with Him. But through sin, man fell from that original position. The gospel is God’s plan to restore man back to His original purpose through Jesus Christ. This study explores: The weakness of the flesh The power of the spirit The purpose of the Word of God The sacrifice of Jesus Christ The restoration of dominion through the gospel 1. The Flesh Is Weak, but the Spirit Must Rule Matthew 26:41 “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Jesus Himself spoke these words. Man is made up of both flesh and spirit. The spirit desires to obey God, but the flesh resists the will of God. Many believers use this scr...

Now, she talked about the flesh of man. Very true. Let us read Matthew chapter 26, verse 41, although he also spoke from Galatians chapter 5. In Matthew 26:41, it says: “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Who was speaking here? Jesus. We said that man is two in one: there is the flesh, and there is the spirit. Jesus knows that your spirit, your soul, is willing and desires to do His will, but the flesh is weak. Many times, as Christians, we read this scripture and use it as an excuse, a justification, or a reason to relax. We say, “After all, Jesus understands. He Himself said that the flesh is weak. God knows my heart; He knows I want to do His will. It is only because of the weakness of my flesh that I cannot fully obey Him, so surely He will pardon me.” But God is not like that. Jesus brought this to our understanding so that we would recognize something important: between the soul—the spirit man—and the flesh, wh...
