  Born Again — The Recreation of Our Existence A Consolidated Teaching on New Birth, Grace, the Word, the Holy Spirit, Knowledge, Deliverance, Renewal, and Christlikeness Introduction: What Does “Recreation” Mean? To  recreate  means to rebuild, restore, renew, re-establish, or bring something back into its intended condition. Therefore, when we speak of  “Born Again — the Recreation of Our Existence,”  we are not merely talking about becoming a better person or changing our outward behavior. We are talking about  God bringing forth a new existence in Christ . The problem of man is deeper than his actions.
