May 30 2026, Saturday Teachings

The Kingdom of God is meant for those who are qualified. A person must be spiritually qualified to enter into the Kingdom of God.

If a man is not in a condition that qualifies him for the Kingdom, he remains worldly, even if he attends church regularly. That is the real problem. The issue is not merely going to church; the issue is overcoming the world within yourself, even as a child of God.

That is where the true struggle lies.

Many people attend church, yet still appear worldly in their dressing, speech, behavior, actions, and dealings with others. Even in our attitudes and character, worldliness can still be seen. Because of this, people may not trust us enough to give us responsibilities, opportunities, or employment. Why? Because the spirit being manifested is still worldly.

But when a person enters the Newman Class, he enters through a spiritual gateway. A door is opened, and he begins a journey — a process of transformation. He starts examining himself and understanding the worldly attractions within him so that he can separate himself from them.

Then, through sincerity of heart, the Lord sanctifies him. It is not any man that sanctifies; it is the Lord who sanctifies. But the student must first separate himself from corruption and oppression. The teachers are there to guide, enlighten, teach, and help civilize the student spiritually.

You, as the student, must apply the teachings and separate yourself from sinful ways. Then the Lord Himself performs His own part. Works of righteousness happen in stages, and everyone has a role to play.

Even if the teacher finishes his own part, if the student refuses to do his part, the Lord will not force transformation upon him.

Gone are the days when man expected God to do everything alone. Today, man must also play his part.

When God created Adam, He placed him in a garden already filled with abundance. Adam lacked nothing. Even a companion was provided for him. But he failed to manage what was given because he did not understand the cost of creation and the importance of obedience. Through disobedience, he fell and returned to suffering.

That is why, in this present time, man must learn, grow, and participate in his own spiritual development.

Every creature that participated in disobedience came under a curse. The serpent was cursed to crawl on its belly. The woman was told she would suffer in childbirth. The man was told he would labor and struggle before the earth would produce for him.

Even the ground itself was cursed because of man’s disobedience. That is why life today is filled with hardship, labor, struggle, and suffering. People work day and night just to survive. Farmers labor greatly and still receive little from the land because creation itself was affected by the fall.

Before the fall, creation existed in harmony. But after disobedience, everything changed.

The Newman Class therefore becomes a spiritual gateway that helps a person understand what happened in the beginning and who man was originally created to be.

When the seed of Jesus grows within a person through the Word of God, that person gradually begins returning to his original spiritual position — the person God intended him to be.

That is what the Newman Class stands for: qualifying a person through spiritual processes so that he may become worthy of entering the Kingdom of God.

If someone enters the Newman Class but refuses to pass through the process of transformation, he gains nothing concerning the Kingdom of God.

Even those teaching you are also under spiritual training. Whenever their own classes are called, they also return to learn and grow. Why? Because everyone is seeking qualification for the Kingdom of God — not earthly titles or positions.

Examine yourself carefully.

All of us passed through these classes. No matter your position, occupation, title, or status, the process remains the same for everyone. It is a principle and a spiritual law.

If you like, continue answering great titles and names in the flesh. People may honor and recognize you because of earthly positions. But when it comes to the Kingdom of God, titles and positions cannot take anyone into the Kingdom. It is impossible.

Being a pastor alone does not qualify a person for the Kingdom of God. The Word of God says:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

This means a person may carry titles, positions, and recognition, yet still not be qualified for the Kingdom of God.

That is why the Newman Class is necessary. It is a process of qualification. It gives understanding of what the Kingdom of God is truly about. It teaches the Kingdom in its classifications and reveals who is qualified to enter into it.

Through this, you begin to know who you are and why you have come.

You have not come to please men or to follow God because someone is begging you to attend fellowship, pray, or evangelize. You are doing these things for your own spiritual growth and qualification into the Kingdom of God.

We are all passing through processes of preparation and qualification, and no one knows when the Kingdom will fully come. Therefore, as long as a person remains on earth, he is in a process of preparation for the Kingdom.

The Newman Class is one of those processes. It is a gate.

It screens a person. It separates, sanctifies, and qualifies a person spiritually. It moves a man from carnality into spirituality.

That is why we say:

The Newman Class is the introductory growth into the spirituality of the “born again” life within you.

The Newman Class introduces a person into spirituality. It opens the way and helps a person begin the journey into true spiritual growth.

Today, spirituality has become a major point of confusion and contention in life. Because many people lack true understanding of spirituality, they engage in many practices thinking they are spiritual, when in reality they are not.

Spirituality is deeper than many people imagine.

Because of ignorance, many pursue outward religious activities without truly entering into spiritual transformation. But the Newman Class opens the door and introduces a person into genuine spirituality so that spiritual growth can begin.

The Newman Class makes spirituality possible for a person.

Many people desire spirituality. They struggle, pray, and try many things, yet they still cannot grow spiritually. The Newman Class makes spiritual growth possible through its programs, courses, and projects.

In obedience to these programs, courses, and spiritual exercises, growth becomes possible.

That means your own responsibility is obedience.

What makes spirituality possible in the Newman Class is obedience:

  • obedience to the programs,
  • obedience to the courses,
  • obedience to the projects.

Remove obedience, and spirituality becomes impossible.

The programs, courses, and projects are designed to shape spiritual growth. Without obedience to them, a person remains carnal and spiritually stagnant.

These are the factors that produce spiritual growth.

Therefore, what governs the Newman Class is strict obedience.

Without obedience to the programs, courses, and projects, growth into spirituality remains impossible. A carnal man cannot please God.

That is why spirituality remains a serious matter and a major point of contention in human life.

To receive from the Spirit, a person must understand spirituality.

Spirituality itself is classified, and that is why we must first talk a little about what spirituality truly means.

We define spirituality as:

“The movement of the spirit into the understanding of a man.”

Spirituality is the movement of the spirit into the understanding of a person.

Now, spirituality exists in different dimensions. There is positive spirituality, and there is negative spirituality.

Negative spirituality is where you see people who have grown deeply in dark spiritual practices. They have ranks, hierarchies, influence, and spiritual authority in the negative realm. When people hear about them, fear enters their hearts.

Someone says:

“That man is dangerous spiritually.”

Immediately, people become intimidated, fearful, and inferior. They begin to submit themselves to such people because they believe those men have spiritual power.

These are spiritual men, but on the negative side.

Some of them intimidate children of God and use vulnerable people for sacrifices and manipulation. Because of fear, many believers become weak and intimidated in their workplaces and environments.

Yet what gives such people power is the price they are willing to pay.

The truth is this:
Any price a man pays for spirituality produces results according to the path he follows.

Whether negative or positive, sacrifices produce spiritual heights. Some sacrifice terrible things to rise in dark spiritual ranks. Others go through painful and fearful rituals just to gain control, influence, and authority.

People hear these stories and become afraid. They begin to believe darkness is stronger than light.

A man may go into graveyards at midnight without fear because of the spiritual power he seeks. Yet when a child of God is asked to preach the gospel, he becomes ashamed.

A believer says:

“I am shy.”
“I cannot speak in public.”
“I cannot preach.”

But the same person is not ashamed to gossip, quarrel, insult others, or commit sin publicly.

When there is conflict in the street, there is no shame. But when it is time for prayer or evangelism, fear suddenly appears.

A man involved in dark practices can shout incantations through the night without fear. Yet when a believer stands up to pray at midnight, neighbors question and intimidate him, and by the next day he is afraid to pray again.

This ought not to be so.

If a child of God refuses to grow spiritually, negative spiritual forces will continue to suppress and dominate him. Why? Because spiritual growth requires commitment and sacrifice. Many desire spiritual authority, but they do not want to pay the price of discipline, obedience, prayer, righteousness, and consistency.

One day while preaching the gospel, we met a young man. As we were speaking with him, my attention was drawn to a tall building nearby. I saw a restless man moving up and down from a distance. After some time, he went inside and returned wearing different clothes associated with spiritual practices.

What struck me was the seriousness and dedication people can have toward negative spirituality. They are willing to go to great lengths, endure discomfort, and pursue power fearlessly.

Yet many believers struggle to commit themselves to spiritual growth in God.

That is why true spirituality requires determination, obedience, sacrifice, and consistency in the things of God.

I was not even paying attention to the man at first. But suddenly, he became restless. He left the top floor of the five-story building and came downstairs with a fierce and intimidating expression on his face.

I tapped the brother beside me and said,

“Brother, wait.”

Immediately, the brother understood there was a spiritual movement taking place.

We used that opportunity to confront the atmosphere spiritually. We were no longer really speaking to the young man we had been preaching to; indirectly, we were addressing the spirit operating through that man.

The brother did not even see him clearly, but I did.

As we continued, the man became uncomfortable and eventually went back inside.

After we finished preaching the gospel, I heard clearly in my spirit:

“Prepare for war.”

And I prepared myself spiritually because we had encountered a spiritual force.

That night, after prayers, we could not sleep. We remained awake, praying and resisting the spirit we had encountered.

Then, in a revelation during the night, the man appeared.

I told him:

“I knew you would come.”

He was surprised and asked,

“So you were waiting for me?”

I answered:

“Yes. The Lord already told me you were coming.”

Then we asked him:

“What do you want?”

As he spoke, we answered him with the authority of God, declaring:

“The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.”

He spoke as though he owned the land and controlled the territory, but we reminded him that every land belongs to God who created it.

Through the knowledge and authority of God, the spirit was subdued and left in shame.

When we woke up, we entered intense prayers because we understood that spiritual warfare had taken place.

Yet today, when believers are asked to preach the gospel, many become afraid and begin making excuses.

Some say:

“The people around me speak another language.”
“They cannot understand English.”

But the gospel is not limited by language. The same way you communicate daily for business, work, and ordinary conversations is the same way you can communicate the message of God.

The Word of God says man is without excuse concerning the principles of the Kingdom.

The people of darkness pay prices to become spiritually powerful. Yet many believers are unwilling to pay the price required for spiritual growth.

Now, how does the Spirit move?

The Spirit moves through communication and understanding.

He speaks to a person:

  • through revelations,
  • through dreams,
  • through spiritual impressions,
  • sometimes audibly,
  • and through the inner witness of the Spirit.

Many times, He speaks through dreams in the night, carrying messages and warnings.

The Spirit also moves through your actions, decisions, and daily experiences.

Spirituality therefore is learning to understand the movement of the Spirit in your life.

Without this understanding, a person remains spiritually immature.

Some people receive dreams and revelations but do not understand them. They forget them, ignore them, or fail to seek interpretation. Then later, what they saw comes to pass, and they cry out:

“I saw this before!”

But why could they not stop or prepare for it?
Because they lacked spiritual understanding.

Before COVID-19 arrived, the Lord spoke to me clearly in January 2019 concerning my teaching job. At first, I did not fully understand it, but I obeyed what I heard.

Then in December, the Lord told me:

“This is your last month in this school.”

I was confused and wondered:

“Does this mean I will never teach again?”

But I continued following the instruction.

Before December ended, I informed the owner of the school that I would stop teaching there.

She asked:

“Are you going to another school? Am I not paying you well?”

I told her:

“No. This is what the Lord instructed me.”

I could not change what the Spirit had spoken.

So in 2020, I stopped teaching and found another job in a production company. Shortly afterward, COVID-19 struck and schools everywhere shut down.

The same parents and colleagues who once questioned my decision later began asking:

“How did you know this would happen?”

I told them plainly:

“The Lord spoke to me, and I obeyed.”

Some people had dreams and revelations about the coming crisis but did not understand them because they lacked spiritual understanding.

That is why spirituality matters.

Spirituality is understanding the movement of the Spirit in your life.

When you begin to grow spiritually, the Lord Himself begins to reveal things to you. You no longer depend entirely on prophets to tell you everything because God begins speaking directly to you through revelations, dreams, understanding, and spiritual sensitivity.

Sometimes you enter a place and immediately your spirit becomes troubled. Sometimes you eat something and suddenly sense discomfort within your spirit.

These are spiritual signals.

The Newman Class helps introduce a person into this growth of spirituality so that he can begin to understand the movement of the Spirit and walk wisely with God.

The Lord speaks through revelations, dreams, and spiritual impressions.

Sometimes you enter an environment and immediately your spirit becomes uncomfortable. Your body reacts, but you may not understand why. Someone may offer you food, you eat it, and suddenly something feels wrong within you. Yet because you say,

“After all, this is my friend,”

you ignore the warning and unknowingly put yourself into trouble.

Why does this happen?
Because many people are not spiritually sensitive. They do not yet understand what it truly means to be spiritual.

But the Newman Class introduces a person into growth in spirituality. It helps spirituality become possible in your life.

You begin to understand that spirituality is not merely about fasting endlessly. Fasting alone does not automatically make a person spiritual. After the fast, you still return to daily life. If there is no inner transformation, nothing truly changes.

True spirituality is not about going to mountains, deserts, or traveling to Jerusalem. You do not need to leave one country for another just to become spiritual.

True spirituality is within you — it is the movement of the Lord in your life.

The teachings you receive and your obedience to those teachings are what help you grow spiritually.

As you begin to apply the teachings, you start discovering potentials within yourself that were hidden by the flesh. Carnality blinds a person and blocks spiritual growth and understanding.

That is why many opportunities pass people by while negative and spiritually manipulative people dominate environments, workplaces, and even homes.

I once worked in a school where the principal operated heavily in negative spirituality. Everyone feared and respected her, including the owner of the school.

But I refused to be intimidated.

I told myself:

“I will not leave because of fear. Let spirituality confront spirituality.”

If darkness presents itself, then light must also stand.

Sometimes she would manipulate students and teachers through fear and control. But spiritually, we resisted and warned those forces against operating around us.

She treated many teachers harshly, even making them do humiliating things for her. Yet throughout all our years there, she never succeeded in controlling us because spiritually we stood firm.

Then one day, the Lord spoke clearly that our time in that school had ended. We did not leave out of fear or frustration. We left because the Spirit directed us to move on.

That was how another season of life began for us.

This is what spirituality truly means:
understanding the movement of the Spirit in your life and responding to it in obedience.

The Newman Class introduces a person into this spiritual growth.

Now, many people ask:

“What is spirituality?”

True spirituality is not based on miracles, olive oil, outward appearances, or religious activities.

Our spirituality has a foundation.

And the foundation of our spirituality is the Word of God — the seed of Christ born within us.

The gospel seed of Christ that enters a person through the born-again experience is the foundation of spirituality. That seed of life is what produces spiritual growth within us.

Our spirituality is centered on Christ living within us through His Word.

That is why we say:

“The Newman Class is the introductory growth into the spirituality of the Word born again within you.”

The seed of Christ within us is the beginning and foundation of spirituality.

Remove the Word of God from a person, and there is no true spirituality.

If a person has not received the seed of Christ within, there is no spiritual life in him. That seed is what allows the Spirit of God to dwell and move within a person.

The Bible says:

“As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God.”

And also:

“If any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.”

That seed of Christ is our identity as children of God.

Just as a child belongs to a parent because the parent’s seed and blood are in the child, so also believers belong to God because the seed of Christ is within them.

Without that seed, there is no spiritual identity in the family of God.

Being a child of God is therefore not simply about attending church, clapping hands, singing worship songs, or becoming emotional during services.

Those things alone can simply be emotions.

True sonship begins with a genuine encounter with Christ and the receiving of His seed of life within the heart.

But having a true encounter with Christ and receiving the seed of Christ within you — that is the foundation of spiritual life. That is why repentance was taught in your Gospel Class as the first principle. Even here in Newman Class, repentance is still taught, but at a deeper level.

If anyone missed the understanding of repentance in Gospel Class, they should not miss it in Newman Class A1.

That is where true spirituality begins.

We said earlier that the foundation of our spirituality is the Word of God born within us — the Word born again in you and in me. That is what makes us spiritual.

Now the question is:
Why do we need spirituality?

We need spirituality because it gives us the ability to overcome the world, overcome the flesh, and overcome sin.

Once a person truly experiences spiritual growth, they will no longer desire to remain carnal. Spirituality brings a deeper understanding, peace, strength, and connection with God.

The world itself is designed to confuse and distract the child of God. It contains many systems, attractions, ideas, and pressures that can pull a believer away from the path of Christ.

That is why spirituality is necessary — so that we can overcome the world.

The world operates through:

  • wisdom,
  • ideologies,
  • knowledge,
  • craftiness,
  • science,
  • technology,
  • systems,
  • and human philosophies.

The world often calls its craftiness “wisdom,” yet much of it is designed to draw people away from God.

Without spirituality, a believer becomes intimidated by the systems of the world. But when the Word of God is alive within you, you gain spiritual understanding and discernment.

Then, whenever the world comes with its wisdom or ideas, you know how to respond. When it comes with confusion, you know how to stand firm. When it presents ideologies contrary to God, the Spirit gives you understanding and direction.

Even in science, technology, creativity, and innovation, wisdom ultimately comes from God. The abilities men use to invent and create are possible because the Spirit of God gives wisdom and understanding.

The problem is not wisdom itself, but when people use wisdom to glorify the world instead of glorifying God.

Spirituality helps you remain connected to God’s wisdom.

When the world spreads fear, panic, and confusion through news and events, the spiritually minded person is not easily shaken because the Lord gives peace, understanding, and discernment.

It is like being connected to a spiritual source of understanding beyond the confusion of the world.

The Word of God says:

“In the world you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

That is why spirituality is important:

  • to overcome the wisdom of the world,
  • to overcome deception,
  • to overcome fear,
  • to overcome sinful desires,
  • and to remain steadfast in Christ.

Without spiritual understanding, many believers become intimidated by the world’s systems, technologies, philosophies, and achievements.

But true wisdom comes from God.

The same Spirit that gives men creativity and understanding is the Spirit of God. Spiritual wisdom allows a believer to walk in discernment, confidence, peace, and divine understanding while living in the world without being overcome by it.

That is the purpose of spirituality.

It is no longer worldly, and in the end, it gives glory to the Lord who gave the wisdom. The focus is no longer on glorifying the world, but on glorifying God.

That is why many people in the world, after receiving success, contracts, or opportunities, often turn to worldly habits. Some go straight to bars, drink excessively, smoke, or depend on unhealthy lifestyles for inspiration and motivation. Why? Because they are glorifying the spirit of the world.

But the wisdom of the Lord and true spirituality help a person overcome the world and its ways. The spiritually minded person no longer lives like the world.

After this teaching, a question was asked:

“You mentioned earlier that fasting is not the foundation of spirituality. Then why do people fast? Is fasting necessary?”

The response was:

Fasting itself is not the foundation of spirituality. A person does not become spiritual simply because they fast.

Even in the days of the apostles, fasting was practiced, but fasting alone could not make someone spiritual. After the fast, the person still returns to ordinary life. Without the Word of God within, fasting by itself cannot produce true spirituality.

The true foundation of spirituality is the Word of God living and moving within a person.

Without the Spirit and Word of God in you, no matter how much you fast, you cannot become truly spiritual. In fact, excessive fasting without spiritual understanding can even lead to confusion or imbalance because the proper foundation is missing.

Fasting simply means abstaining from certain things in order to focus more deeply on God. A person may abstain from:

  • food,
  • entertainment,
  • music,
  • unnecessary activities,
  • or even isolate themselves for prayer and reflection.

The purpose is to remove distractions and become more attentive to God.

However, when the Word of God is already alive and active within you, the Lord can speak to you at any moment — even while eating, working, or carrying out daily activities. You do not necessarily need to fast before hearing from God, because you are already walking in fellowship with Him.

Therefore, the basis of spirituality is not fasting; it is the presence and movement of the Spirit of God within you.

Why then did people fast?

In earlier times, many fasted while seeking direction, answers, or closeness to God. But spiritual growth today comes through receiving Christ, accepting His Word, and practicing His teachings daily.

The more a person grows in the knowledge of God’s Word, the more spiritually mature they become.

As spiritual growth increases:

  • worldly desires begin to reduce,
  • sinful habits lose their control,
  • selfish ambitions begin to fade,
  • and the person becomes more led by the Spirit than by the flesh.

“Flesh” here does not simply mean the physical body, but the sinful desires, selfish imaginations, and worldly tendencies within a person.

Someone may fast for days, but without spiritual transformation, they easily return to the same old habits afterward.

Sometimes people fast physically, but mentally they remain focused on food the entire time — counting the hours until the fast ends and preparing meals in advance while watching the clock continuously.

That alone is not spiritual transformation.

True spirituality comes when the Word of God changes the heart from within.

There may also be times when the Lord personally leads someone to abstain from food or separate themselves for prayer and spiritual focus. In such moments, the motivation is not religious performance, but obedience and spiritual direction.

That is the difference between outward religious activity and inward spiritual growth.

So once the Word of God is truly in you, there may be days when the Lord leads you to abstain from certain things. He may tell you, “Today, do not use your phone,” or “Separate yourself from certain distractions.” And when He leads you in this way, He also gives you understanding and purpose.

As you obey, He begins to speak to you, direct you, connect with you, and reveal things to you. There is communication, guidance, and spiritual understanding.

But if someone fasts from morning till evening for many days without any spiritual connection, revelation, transformation, or deeper understanding, and afterward remains exactly the same, then the issue is not the fasting itself.

That is why we say our spirituality is not founded on fasting, but on the Word of God living within us.

When the Word of God is alive in you, it begins to guide your daily life. It speaks to you daily, gives direction daily, and teaches you principles for daily living.

One of the brothers then asked for clarification, wanting to ensure the teaching was not suggesting that fasting is irrelevant for believers.

The response was:

Fasting is not wrong. What matters is that it should be led by God and done with understanding.

There are times when the Lord Himself may lead someone into fasting. Sometimes a person may lose appetite completely because of a spiritual burden or because God is drawing them into prayer and consecration.

When the Lord leads you into fasting, He gives you reasons and direction. He helps you understand why you are doing it.

And often, when you decide to obey God in fasting or separation, that is when the flesh begins to resist strongly. Suddenly, distractions increase. Food becomes more tempting. Situations arise that test your focus and obedience.

The point is that true spiritual actions should flow from the leading of God within, not merely from religious routine.

Our spirituality is based on:

  • the speaking of the Lord,
  • the movement of His Spirit,
  • and the Word of God within us.

Another question was asked:
“What exactly happens when a person fasts?”

The explanation given was that fasting is not simply about skipping meals. Some people naturally do not eat early in the day, but that alone is not biblical fasting.

True fasting involves intentional abstinence in order to focus on God.

It may involve abstaining from:

  • food,
  • unnecessary conversations,
  • social media or phones,
  • entertainment,
  • work,
  • or other distractions.

The purpose is concentration and spiritual focus.

Fasting creates space for quietness, reflection, prayer, worship, and meditation on God’s Word. It helps a person separate from unnecessary noise and focus their heart on seeking God.

For example, someone may say:

“Lord, I want to seek You sincerely today. I want to hear from You. I want to understand Your will.”

Through that separation and concentration, the person may begin to pray more deeply, study Scripture more attentively, and worship with greater focus.

So the essence of fasting is not merely hunger; it is spiritual concentration and intentional separation unto God.

Finally, another person commented that many false teachings have confused believers by making spirituality seem dependent on money, rituals, oils, or external practices.

The response affirmed that true spirituality is not based on outward religious objects or performances, but on the Spirit of Christ and the living Word of God within a person.

That is the true foundation of spiritual life.
