Unity of the Faith and True Gospel Salvation

1. The Goal: Unity of the Faith (Ephesians 4:11–13)

God gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for one purpose:

  • To perfect the saints
  • To build up the body of Christ
  • Until we all come into the unity of the faith

Right now, faith exists—but it is divided. This division appears in denominations and human alignments:

  • “I am of Paul”
  • “I am of Apollos”

But the truth remains:

  • Christ is not divided
  • No man died for you—only Christ
  • It is God who gives the increase

👉 True unity is not organizational—it is spiritual, and it comes only through truth.

2. The Real Problem: Misaligned Mindsets

The issue is not different gatherings or leaders—it is the mindset.

  • Ministry is not an exchange (“you come to mine, I’ll come to yours”)
  • The goal is not to pull people from places
  • The goal is growth, maturity, and truth

👉 Unity happens when people come into the knowledge of truth, not when they gather under one label.

3. The Foundation: Knowing the Truth

  • Truth brings freedom
  • Without truth, there is no real unity
  • Without truth, there is no real salvation

👉 You cannot be truly free until you know the truth of the gospel.

4. Gospel Salvation: What It Really Is

Gospel salvation is:

The freedom of the spirit man (the inner being).

5. Understanding the Spirit Man

Every human has two dimensions:

Outer Man (Physical)

  • The body (flesh)
  • Visible and temporary

Inner Man (Spirit)

  • The real you
  • Invisible and eternal
  • Created in the image of God

👉 The body is just a vessel—the spirit is the real person.

Key Truth

  • The body returns to dust
  • The spirit man stands before God

6. Spiritual Connection: Why Christ Is Essential

Just like radio waves exist but require a receiver:

  • Spiritual realities exist
  • But not everyone can access them

👉 The spirit man is like a radio
👉 Christ is the connection (the “transmitter”)

Without Christ:

  • No true understanding of God
  • No real spiritual connection

7. The Problem: The Nature of Sin

Sin is not just behavior—it is:

  • A nature
  • A structure
  • An inheritance

As written:

  • “Shaped in iniquity” - psalms 51:5
  • “All have sinned” - Romans 3:23

👉 Sin is present from the beginning of life, not just learned later.

Inheritance of Sin

  • You cannot give what you don’t have
  • Parents pass both physical and spiritual traits

Sin multiplies:

  • Lust × lust = more lust
  • Anger × anger = more anger

👉 Humanity is born into a sinful structure.

8. Why Sin Feels Natural

Sin is easy because:

  • It aligns with the inner structure
  • It is how man is naturally formed

That’s why:

  • Sin requires no effort
  • Righteousness feels difficult

9. The Solution: A New Structure

You cannot fix sin—you must replace it.

Like rebuilding a house:

  • You don’t reshape a broken structure
  • You tear it down and rebuild

👉 Salvation is not behavior change
👉 It is inner reconstruction

10. The Three Steps of Gospel Salvation

1. Repentance

  • A genuine turning away from sin
  • Not just words, but a real decision

2. Forgiveness

  • Comes only after true repentance
  • Removes past guilt completely

3. Reconciliation

  • Restores relationship with God
  • Makes you a child of God

👉 Process: Repentance → Forgiveness → Reconciliation

11. Evidence of True Salvation

When salvation is real:

  • The inner structure changes
  • You gain strength for spiritual things
  • Righteousness becomes sustainable

Without this:

  • Prayer feels heavy
  • Scripture feels difficult
  • Sin feels easy

12. The Problem with False Repentance

Many people:

  • Ask for forgiveness repeatedly
  • Continue in the same patterns

This shows:

  • Repentance is incomplete
  • The structure has not changed

👉 True repentance breaks cycles, not repeats them.

13. Understanding Forgiveness

  • Forgiveness is instant when repentance is genuine
  • Delay is not from God—it is from lack of true repentance

Sign of Forgiveness:

  • Guilt is removed
  • Burden is lifted
  • There is inner confirmation

14. Why Some Still Feel Guilty

If guilt remains:

  • Forgiveness has not yet occurred

Why?

  • Repentance is not complete
  • The action (turning away) is missing

15. Spiritual Reality: Nothing Unclean Enters

Like airport security:

  • Everything is examined
  • Anything not allowed is removed

👉 Nothing sinful enters God’s kingdom

16. What Makes You a Child of God

Not words. Not claims.

But:

  • True repentance
  • Real forgiveness
  • Full reconciliation

This teaching is not about:

  • Attacking churches
  • Comparing denominations

It is about:

  • Your heart
  • Your repentance
  • Your relationship with God

18. The Ultimate Conclusion

  • Unity comes through truth
  • Truth leads to freedom
  • Freedom begins in the spirit man
  • Salvation is inner transformation

👉 The goal is this:

  • One body
  • One faith
  • One Shepherd
  • One unified people in truth
