Jesus Disciples Fellowship is the equipment center of the saints of GOD in knowledge of
1) God -the Creator;
2) You - Creation;
3) Created things of existence
2 Timothy 2:3–4 - Disciples are soldiers in a spiritual war who must endure and stay focused on their Commander.
Why you need to be equipped?
Because of the war of the journey of the kingdom.
Revelation 13:7 - "You must be equipped because the enemy actively wages war against God’s people".
Matthew 11:12 - "The kingdom journey demands spiritual strength and determination, not passivity (Knowing the truth but not acting on it — being spiritually inactive, careless)".
Matthew 10:37-39 - "True discipleship demands full commitment—dying to self to live for Christ".
What is this equipment?
2 Corinthians 2:3-4 - “We should be equipped with love and compassion.”
Ephesians 4:17-24 - “We should be equipped with a renewed mind and a new nature.”
Ephesians 6:10-18 - “We should be equipped with the full armor of God.”
John 8:31-32 - “We should be equipped with truth that sets us free.”
John 17:1-3 - “We should be equipped with eternal life through knowing God.”
John 6:64-69 - “We should be equipped with faith in the Living Word.”
God (the Caller) → Message → You (the Called) → Response (Prayer, Obedience, Faith) → Back to God (the Caller)
Ignorance: The First Bondage of man
A child may try to help their mother but, in ignorance, ends up making things worse. The intention was good, but without understanding, their help becomes harm.
That’s the same way many believers are with God. You may love Him deeply and genuinely desire to please Him, yet in ignorance, you could be doing the opposite. Ignorance can make even your best efforts displeasing to God.
No one can truly serve God in ignorance. Why? Because ignorance is darkness. Ignorance is the absence of the knowledge of God — and without that knowledge, you cannot serve Him rightly. Ignorance is bondage. It is the first bondage.
That’s why Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” If you don’t know the truth, you cannot believe it; and if you cannot believe it, you cannot live it. Faith may bring you to the door, but it is knowledge that opens it. Faith declares that something is possible; knowledge makes it your reality.
You can believe that mountains can be moved, but until you have experienced it, you don’t know it. Faith says, “It can happen.” Knowledge says, “I have seen it happen.”
There’s a difference between believing and knowing. You don’t believe you are sitting on a chair right now — you know it, because you are experiencing it. Faith allows room for doubt; knowledge does not.
That is why Jesus said in John 17:3, “This is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” Eternal life is not simply believing in God — it is knowing Him.
You may have experienced His power — He healed you, provided for you, protected you — and those are real encounters with His love. But those experiences alone do not mean you know God. You have been touched by Him, but you have not yet learned His mind.
Faith Beyond Miracles
In John chapter 6, we see a crowd following Jesus. They had seen His miracles — the healings, the feeding of thousands, the signs and wonders. They even crossed seas to find Him. Yet their pursuit was not for the Word, but for the miracles.
That’s why Jesus spoke to them in parables. They heard, but they did not understand — nor did they care to ask what He meant. Their interest was in the blessings, not the truth.
Many Christians today are the same. They measure closeness to God by physical blessings: a new job, healing, provision. But the true evidence of your relationship with God is not in what He gives you, but in what He teaches you.
Physical blessings perish — your healed body will one day die, your job will one day end, your possessions will decay. But the knowledge of God, the transformation of your spirit, is eternal.
What distinguishes you as a true child of God is that He teaches you His Word — He reveals His mind to you. That is the true blessing.
The Purpose of Spiritual Education
That is why Jesus had disciples. The crowds received miracles; the disciples received teaching. It was those teachings that made them special — because through His words, His Spirit was transferred into them.
Our relationship with God is not one-sided. It’s not only about what He can do for you, but also what you can do for Him. Have you ever asked, “Lord, what can I do for You today?”
If you don’t understand your Father’s business, how can you take part in it? That’s why you must receive spiritual education.
Our fellowship is an equipping center. The preaching of the gospel calls you, but the teaching of the gospel builds you. Faith calls; knowledge equips.
That’s why we have classes — Gospel Class A, and others that help you grow. What we do here in these meetings is just an introduction. The deeper work happens as you study, meditate, and pray on what you’ve learned.
Growing from Faith to Knowledge
Many Christians can quote Scripture — “I am the righteousness of God in Christ,” “Greater is He that is in me,” “I can do all things through Christ.” These are true. But are they your reality?
Have old things truly passed away in your life? Has everything become new? Or do you still find yourself falling into the same patterns of sin and weakness?
Grace is not an excuse to remain unchanged. Grace is the opportunity to grow, to come to the knowledge of the truth that sets you free.
Just like a child grows from crawling to walking, you must also grow spiritually. Imagine a 15-year-old who still cannot walk that would be tragic. In the same way, many believers have remained spiritual infants for years. They repent and return to God, but never mature, because they have not learned how to overcome.
That’s why you need teaching. That’s why you need knowledge.
When the Word Becomes Hard
In John 6:64–69, Jesus said, “There are some of you who do not believe.” He had performed many miracles, but when His message became difficult to accept, many turned away.
The miracles could not keep them. Only revelation could.
When Jesus asked the twelve, “Will you also go away?” Peter answered, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”
What kept the disciples was not the miracles, but their knowledge of who He was.
Can you say the same? Do you have such knowledge of God that even when His words challenge you, you still stay? That’s the kind of understanding God wants to bring you into a faith grounded in revelation, not in emotion.
Transformed by Truth
Ephesians 4:17–24 says that the Gentiles walk in darkness because their hearts are blinded. But we, who have learned Christ, are renewed in the spirit of our minds.
If you have truly been taught by Christ, you will live like Christ. You will put off the old man and put on the new. This transformation is not something you just claim, it becomes your reality through teaching and experience.
That’s what this fellowship is for, to bring you from faith to knowledge, from ignorance to understanding, from bondage to freedom.
So when you come here, know this: what you hear is an introduction. The real work happens when you go back, meditate, study, and pray. Then the Holy Spirit will expand the truth in your heart and make it life in you.
Because it is your right, as a child of God, to be taught by your Father — so that you no longer walk in ignorance.
