Who is driving your life?
Who is driving your life?
The 3 drivers of your journey- Devil
- God
- Yourself
Your life is like a car, and it can only have one driver. The choice is yours. so take the wheel and decide who’s guiding your journey. Who is Driving Your Life?
1. If the Devil is Driving (Bondage to Sin)
John 10:10 – “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.”
- When the enemy drives, he leads us into sin, destruction, fear, and separation from God.
- Examples: Adam and Eve in the Garden (Genesis 3), Judas betraying Jesus (John 13:27).
- Application: The devil’s goal is always to derail-your purpose and enslave you to sinful habits.
2. If Self is Driving (Human Control)
Proverbs 14:12 – “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
- When we drive our own life without God, we rely on our wisdom, pride, and desires.
- Example: The rich young ruler (Luke 18:18–23) chose his possessions over following Jesus.
- Application: Self-driven life looks independent but can end up empty and misguided.
3. If God is Driving (Surrender to Christ)
Galatians 2:20 – “It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”
- When God drives, He directs our path (Proverbs 3:5–6).
- Example: Paul surrendered his life, saying, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” (Acts 9:6).
- Application: Letting God drive means surrender, trust, and obedience, even when we don’t see the whole road.
4. The Call to Choose Your Driver
Joshua 24:15 – “Choose this day whom you will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Romans 6:16 – “You are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness.”
Every day, we hand over the keys of our life—to sin, to self, or to God. Only one will lead us safely home.
Conclusion
- Your life is like a car.
- If the Devil drives, destruction awaits.
- If Self drives, pride and limited wisdom mislead us.
- If God drives, there’s purpose, peace, and eternal life.
