Is Prayer Hard-work or Relationship ? - A Poem

Is Prayer Hard-work or Relationship?

Is prayer a hard task we must do,
Or simply a walk with God — me and you?
Not like Adam, tired and worn,
But like a child, safe and warm.

Prayer’s not work that drains our soul,
It’s a deep bond that makes us whole.
Blessings come not from what we show,
But as God’s children, this we know.

When Jesus said, “Ask,” He meant to share,
Not shout or cry or prove we care.
No need to earn or make God see—
Just speak with faith and trust fully.

Prayer’s not to shake or change God’s way,
But to lift His name with hearts that stay.
Not to push, but softly hear
His gentle voice, so calm and near.

Prayer changes us, not God above,
It helps us live in trust and love.
Jesus taught without fear or fight,
Calling God “Father” day and night.

No need to battle or shout each day—
Jesus won the fight and showed the way.
Prayer’s not noise or warrior’s song,
It’s knowing Jesus makes us strong.

Like branches clinging to the vine,
Prayer keeps us close to the divine.
God’s life flows freely when we stay near—
His love is constant, calm, and clear.

If prayer feels heavy, it won’t last long,
But prayer in love makes our hearts strong.
Just talk to God — He’s glad you do,
A kind Father, always with you.
